![]() ![]() The sights are another thing that most people seem to have problems with, I don't but then I just accept that they were designed for close quarters work, not precision work. I have a JAE 100 G3 stock on mine and can get groups of about 1 MOA plus or minus about a quarter MOA. ![]() Both the SAGE and JAE stocks seem to usually produce average groups of about 1 to 2 MOA. Regardless of what brand, even a USGI fiberglass stock will usually improve the rifle's accuracy. The SOCOM seems to average about 2 to 3 MOA for most people using milsurp ammo using the standard synthetic stock.Ĭhanging the stock is the first thing that I would recommend. Next, these rifles all vary in regards to their accuracy from the factory as does the ability of the shooter. Most people don't realize that battle rifles and carbines are usually designed to provide no worse than 3 MOA out 500 or 600 meters, so if a SOCOM produces that sized group it is just performing to normal standards for that style rifle. First of all if the rifle were to do no better than 3 MOA then at 600 yards that would be a little more than 18" which is the width of an average man's chest. ![]()
